Thanks for reviewing my work!

I conduct research, write and provide consulting advice on economics and policy for media and the information and communications sector more broadly. While I have spent most of my career as a full-time academic (prior appointments at UCLA, Northwestern University and Michigan State University), I also spent 2013 as the FCC's Chief Economist.

Since July 2015, my wife and I have lived in Boulder, Colorado where I have affiliations with the Silicon Flatirons Center and the Interdisciplinary Telecommunications Program at the University of Colorado while retaining an affiliation with the Quello Center at Michigan State University, which I once directed.

My publications and prior research activities are reported elsewhere on this site. Current research interests include feedback processes in two-sided search markets, trade in media products, strategic bundling for online services, and strategy for online media services.
